Hanson Australia - Reconciliation Action Plan | 3 CEO SUPPORT FOR RECONCILIATION Hanson aims to create a workplace culture that embraces Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, one that encourages sustainability and respect. I am privileged to support Hanson’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which demonstrates our commitment on this journey towards reconciliation. Our Hanson Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging staff and stakeholders in reconciliation, developing and piloting innovative strategies to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Hanson has extensive land holdings across Australia and many have a cultural significance which we must preserve. Our Reconciliation Action Plan is committing to improving our connection to the land its people and their culture. We are setting ambitious targets to improve Hanson’s reconciliation effort. This is a long journey, not a quick fix, I believe this will add great value to Hanson and personally I feel we all have a social responsibility to encourage reconciliation in our society. We have started the journey and have a long way to go, but I look forward to our team’s success and hearing and seeing the difference this RAP can make to reconciliation as we embed our RAP commitments across our Australian businesses.
